The travelling little girl

Hi, I’m Nathelle. I’m a copyeditor by day, freelancer by night.

I’m from the Philippines and I’m constantly being bitten by the travel bug. And it seems as though travelling and being in various places are constants in my life and even before I came to existence.

To make the long story short, my dad is from Camarines Sur and my mom is from Zamboanga City. They met while studying here in Metro Manila and got married here too. They moved to Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental where me and my sister were born. After seven years, we moved to Davao City and stayed there for another seven years. Then we made one final move to Metro Manila, first to Paranaque City and now settling in Muntinlupa City.

On top of all that moving, we have managed to go to different cities and towns in Mindanao and Luzon.  My childhood consisted of long drives to the cities of Kidapawan, General Santos and Iligan, to the provinces of Batangas, Pampanga and Bulacan now that I’m older.

My first travel buddies (that's me in black. my hair isn't that long anymore though :P) 🙂

I guess you can now see where my passion for seeing the world comes from. When you’ve lived and gone to different places, you seem to want to see more.

Travelling has taken a setback in the past few years, mainly due to busy schedules and financial limitations.

However, because of budget airlines, awesome travel blogs and my inner wanderlust, I decided that I should pursue this desire to go around and experience what the world has to offer me. I am still young and I should take advantage of my youth and independence, before all sorts of heavier responsibilities start flooding my way.

We can all follow this piece of advice.

Hence, the birth of this blog, which will perfectly integrate all my passions into one: writing, travel and photography. Plus, having this blog somehow gives me accountability – to myself and to the readers, no matter how few or many you may be.

I have declared 2012 to be my year of travel and I will do whatever it takes to make sure that it will be. 🙂

So anyone interested in joining me in my (mis)adventures? I’m nice! And I don’t bite. 😀

As long as you have the same passion and are fun to be with, send me an email or leave a comment on this post. I’d love to meet new travelling boys and girls, little or not. 🙂
